Legislative Intern for the honorable U.S. Congressman Raul Ruiz of CA25. Conducted research , compiled data and information regarding current legislative actions regarding CA District 25 and the House Energy and Commerce Committee.Assisted with drafting and analysis of legislative proposals and policy briefs while supporting the office with correspondence management. Provided administrative support and engaged with constituent casework.

Onboarded to the youth-led political organization to oversee all state operations and assist national communications with intentions to advocate, protect, and empower young voters. Working alongside rising leaders and policymakers from federal, state, and local levels to engage and voice youth opinions on service in politics. Organized several projects that brought together over 130k members in efforts pertaining to gun violence, reproductive rights, bans off books, equitable education, immigration, LGBTQ, and voter rights.

Co-Lead for the California State Youth Advocacy Training Program. Advising lobby cohort on State legislative agenda pertaining to gun violence prevention. As the Collective Lead, researched and organized policy slates for team. Training and developing educational materials to youth participants on effective lobbying skills. Worked alongside state and national level organizers in effort to advance GVP initiatives.

Chosen as the County’s Prosecuting and Defense Attorney in efforts to reform youth engagement in offenses against the law in order to provide a restorative opportunity. Enacted on cases of students who resided in the district with first or second offenses. Reviewed the crimes, and argued the case in trial in front of a presiding judge and jury. Assisted in rehabilitation programs and verdicts to avert violence and paraphernalia usage in the student population of over 20 middle and high schools.Assisted in directing dozens of youth away from juvenile detention centers or infractions on their records by overseeing their case or working alongside fellow attorneys in creating point of action.

Served over 25,000 students, voicing student opinion on legislative actions made by board. Through position, introduced, organized, and implemented State Assembly Bill 824, electing a student board member as a seat on the board. Assisted in the creation of the official district-wide student advisory council and election of the first student board member in district history. Served as a member of the student advisory council.

Organized the third-largest march in response to the 2022 Uvalde shooting mobilizing an estimate of 8,000 participants to call for gun reform in the City of LA in a span of one week. Invited by the LA County Board of Supervisors to speak on expanding gun violence prevention bylaws. Lobbied for the Bi-Partisan Safers Communities Act. And Assembly Bill 28, funding over 161 million dollars annually to prevent and support victims of gun violence. Named as the State Spokesperson to speak on the issue of gun violence affecting the youth population in California.

Elected 2x by constituents to serve under County Supervisor Chuck Washington, to represent over 80,000 students. Brought forth legislation, input, and action toward adolescent-related issues to Board of Supervisors and County Departments. Trained by Riverside University Health System to prevent and guide on substance abuse epidemic in the district. Managed partnership with Department of Public Social Services to rebuild the higher education track and provide equitable care to foster youth. Elected by 4 other district commissioners to serve as the entire County chair, serving over 440,000 students.
