For my future, I am considering studying English Literature, hoping to pursue a career as an author. I have always had a passion for reading and writing, and have always aspired to write a book of my own. I am obsessed with how the written word can express so much about the human experience, and how powerful it can be.I am passionate about performing. Whether it is singing in choir, dancing ballet, or acting in a play, I always relish every opportunity to be on the stage. I find performing thrilling, and love sharing art with the world.I have been in choir for 7 years now, first starting in 4th grade at River School, and then every year since at Middle School and High School. I was in the State choir when I was in Middle School and this year I was in the CCS honor choir.Also, I have consistently performed in musical theater since I was in elementary school. I performed in theater and musical theater at middle school and I am currently in the high school drama club. I most recently performed in Twelfth Night and Mean Girls at the High School, and intend to continue. Additionally, I take part in the Dance Center musical theater and theater production programs.I am passionate about ballet and have been taking lessons since I was 4 years old. I am still taking lessons and I also teach my own classes at the Dance Center in Carmel. One of the highlights of my year is performing in the Nutcracker. I first performed in the Nutcracker in 2011 and I have been in it almost every year since. Last year, December 2023, I got my first lead role.I have also performed competitive ballet, both team and solo, and have won several platinum awards in Northern California competitions.As mentioned previously, I am passionate about English Literature and love to write. When I graduated from Middle School I was awarded the Outstanding Student in Language Arts. I was also the school Geo Bee winner (twice).I also enjoy learning French and intend to continue next year with the AP exam.I won first place in the Alliance Francaise de Monterey poetry competition in 2021 and 2022.
