Community Cat Program Coordinator
Current- Focused on growing community engagement and local partnerships to further lifesaving efforts in metro-Atlanta.
- Led a grass roots effort to update county ordinances, allowing for the continuation of trap-neuter-return programs in Cobb County, GA.
- Mentor municipal shelters and rescue partners in the Southeast on sheltering best practices to end the unnecessary killing of dogs and cats in shelters.
- Working closely with county commissioners and government leadership to facilitate and establish best practices for Cobb County Animal Services.
- Manage several programs: including a large-scale TNR program and a Working Cat Program, through which high-risk populations of cats are placed via nontraditional adoptions.
- Assist Cobb County Animal Services in maintaining a 90% live-release rate for cats: achieved an average save rate of 94% in FY2019.
