I spent 2-15 hours/week over 3 years writing, editing, and revising physics manuscripts for Ph.D students in a Mechanical Engineering Lab. I co-created a non-profit, Twirls Signs, with my sister aimed at fundraising for the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence Dance Academy (BGCL) where I taught ballet 3-6 hours/week for 3 years to underprivileged children. We spent 5-10 hours/week over 2.5 years creating art and managing the business. We painted home decor signs on wood and canvas, advertised and sold custom orders online, and donated over $1500. The dance studio at the BGCL allowed 30+ kids to spend their afternoons learning, moving, and creating before being served nightly dinners. Our funds bought proper footwear and dance-wear, field trips, performances, and costumes for the 8-15 year-old dancers.
