I served 22 patients per day at a community health center for an underserved population. My main rolewas to facilitate patient visits by gathering histories, recording vital signs, ordering and performing point-of-care tests, administering medications, providing wound care, and assisting in procedures and minor surgeries. I managed communication with patients including lab results, relevant forms, vaccination records, referrals, and historical medical record documents. I trained 5 new Medical Assistants in proper clinical techniques, respectful patient communication, and in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

I am a Les Mills Certified Group Fitness Instructor. In college, I taught 2-3 50-minute Body Pump classes and 1-2 30-minute Core classes per week at Rutgers Recreation Centers for 6-50 participants. After graduation, I taught 1-2 50-min Body Pump classes per week at Club 4 Fitness Birmingham. I prepared different exercises and music weekly and coached with an effective, encouraging style. Participants regularly returned to my classes because of my ability to both clearly teach newcomers the basics and challenge those desiring a tough workout. I love and will continue to teach classes because they offer a welcoming, safe, fun community for people to improve their physical and mental health.

I spent 2-15 hours/week over 3 years writing, editing, and revising physics manuscripts for Ph.D students in a Mechanical Engineering Lab. I met one-on-one with engineers for revisions and edited group members' papers remotely, following technical guidelines to improve communication of complex ideas. With no engineering background, I successfully collaborated across disciplines to clarify and improve engineers' writing. I am an author of 3 peer-reviewed published articles.

I provided customer service and production at a small, busy, female-owned ice cream store. Each summer from 2014 through 2020 I worked 300-450 hours per summer, for a total of about 2500 hours over 7 summers. I made batches of ice cream in the mornings, ensuring proper sanitation and high quality mixing. In the evenings, I served ice creams and worked the cash register, providing friendly service to up to 800 people per night. I trained 1-3 new employees each year beginning in 2015. Additionally, I was responsible for opening, closing, cleaning, creating and selling 30+ tie-dye t-shirts per summer, and maintaining health protocols during the pandemic.

I represented Rutgers as a tour guide and ambassador 10 hours/week for 4 semesters. I led campus bus and walking tours to groups of up to 50 prospective students and families. I presented information about admissions, student life, academics, and housing in a fun and engaging style, prioritizing sharing relatable experiences and connecting with students. I was challenged with many difficult questions from parents which led me to develop clear and honest communication skills. In the office, I answered phone calls concerning undergraduate admissions. Out of 80 staff members, I was chosen to attend an out-of-state University conference to represent the Rutgers student body and answer questions.

I co-created a non-profit, Twirls Signs, with my sister aimed at fundraising for the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence Dance Academy (BGCL) where I taught ballet 3-6 hours/week for 3 years to underprivileged children. We spent 5-10 hours/week over 2.5 years creating art and managing the business. We painted home decor signs on wood and canvas, advertised and sold custom orders online, and donated over $1500. The dance studio at the BGCL allowed 30+ kids to spend their afternoons learning, moving, and creating before being served nightly dinners. Our funds bought proper footwear and dance-wear, field trips, performances, and costumes for the 8-15 year-old dancers.
