Music Therapist
Current- Plan and conduct group music therapy sessions for older adults with dementia/alzheimer's & recovering from surgeries/strokes- Utilize music therapy interventions including but not limited to: instrument play, improvisation, music listening, reminiscence, lyric substitution, movement, etc.- Provide individual music therapy to a neurodiverse young adult- Incorporate music therapy interventions such as singing, instrument play, improvisation (movement, vocal, & instrumental), and song choice- Assess clients' interests, strengths, & weaknesses- Compose original & piggyback songs for therapeutic use- Collaborate with activity director and client/ caregivers to develop clinical goals and objectives- Document and communicate clients' progress towards goals and objectives- Organize and maintain accurate financial records (expenses, miles driven, etc.)
