My guiding principal throughout my education has been to stretch myself to learn as many different subjects as possible. The Program of Liberal Studies is a major where I have developed intellectual agility and the ability to process massive amounts of information efficiently (see: reading Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace in two weeks). In my Film Television and Theatre classes, I have developed a keen understanding of human communication and storytelling.Outside of the classroom, I am a Senior Project Manager at ND Listens, Notre Dame's student engagement group. Interfacing directly with alumni has given me invaluable customer-facing experience; I've had calls lasting anywhere from five minutes to over an hour. I've been able to learn about so many different members of the Notre Dame family. These conversations have taught me how to connect with people I've never met, ask the right questions, and help solve problems. My internal management positions have been formative leadership roles where I have practiced team building and project management. In my free time I am Vice-President and Head Instructor of the Swing Dancing Club, and am Assistant Directing for the Not-So-Royal Shakespeare Company. What started as passion projects have become true growth opportunities, and have allowed me to step up as a teacher and a leader.
