PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (may include but are not limited to the following) • Researches and provides data through the systematic planning, evaluation, and analysis of projects in bio-terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, and CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive) elements • Develops procedures for the planning, evaluation, and analysis of solutions on equipment acquisition, training, exercising, and planning as identified in the County’s Emergency Plan • Meets with County officials and other agency staff and encourages the exchange of information with local, county, regional agencies, and other public and private organizations • Attends and participates in meetings and project conferences to discuss strategies, operations, and proposals, and to make specific recommendations concerning the development of solution area proposals • Tracks and documents homeland security grants and maintains appropriate records and necessary reports and correspondence required to perform job tasks

Provides instruction to patients and their families under the direction of the RN. May apply, monitor and remove patient restraints as per physician or hospital protocol. Assists with physical, respiratory and cardiopulmonary therapies. Provides feedback to the RN regarding patient care and reports changes in patient status. Trained in the process of Decontamination in the Emergency Department as needed during a Disaster Response.
