Physician Assistant AC First Medical Clinic: Independent provider for acute, urgent and primary care treatment for client’s employees, which includes Expats and TCN. Responsibilities include regular sick-call, updating immunization and urgent and emergency services as needed. Also responsible for the denial or approval for employees returning in theater, based on CENTCOM – MOD 11 criteria. Coordinated higher level of care when appropriate to Level 3 military medical facilities and outside theater higher level of care. Point of contact on medical issues related to the work site; provides injury case management and assists with the administration of return-to-work programs at the work site; assists in the preparation and maintenance of required records associated with incidents and injuries.

Medical Officer for the US. Embassy in Kabul’s local guard force. Independent provider for acute, urgent and primary care treatment to a guard force of over 600 officers. Responsibilities included, regular sick-call, annual physicals, up-date immunization and urgent or emergency services as needed. I coordinated higher level of care when appropriate to Level 3 medical facilities in the area. Established and maintained adequate medical supplies and medication for the on-site clinic within an area with limited medical services. I established a Casualty Collection Point (CCP) which had the capability of stabilizing 20 casualties for a minimal of 8 hours pending MEDIVAC.
