Developing low-carbon, safe and sustainable energy technologies is a necessity in light of a rising world population and urgent need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to mitigate the impact on climate change. I am a physical chemist and materials scientist at the TU Delft working towards the development of a new generation of nuclear reactor technologies that excel in safety and sustainability.
