I have been a military spouse for about 20 years. Throughout my husband's time in service, besides raising and homeschooling our children, I spent my time volunteering and supporting our military families in many ways. I was active in running multiple homeschool groups through organizing events, activities, and teaching at coops. I volunteered my time at my daughter's American Heritage Troops as unit leaders for years. I also volunteered as a Key Spouse for my husband's units multiple times, and continue to do that today as a Key Support Liaison for my husband's Space Force unit. In 2019, I went back to school at Grand Canyon University and finished my bachelors in English with an Emphasis in Professional Writing in February of 2024 graduating Summa Cum Laude. Throughout my college studies, I worked hard and received good grades and high compliments from my professors on my writing, whether it be on research papers, essays, or creative writing pieces. I continue to pursue writing by blogging for Mission: Milspouse as a military spouse experience blogger today. I have been working part time for Evolving Faith for the last two years and one of the main things I do is man their inboxes. It is important not only for customer service to craft the best responses, but since Evolving Faith is about providing care for those who have been wounded by their faith community and teachings, being able to respond in a way that is caring for the individual on the other side is important. Evolving Faith is cross cultural and having sensitivity to the different needs of multiple cultures is an important aspect of what I do for the organization. I am passionate about finding the right words for a writing project. I enjoy researching a topic or a story and turning it into a masterpiece that peaks the interest of others. I am interested in researching tough topics, and writing hard hitting news worthy articles and stories that change people's perspectives. My personal interests are writing articles and stories about military families, military life experience, mental health, faith evolution, and family and marriage issues. I am also very detailed oriented and find joy in proofreading others writings to find details they may have missed.
