I have been blessed with over 16 years in education. I have served both general education, special education inclusion students, and english language learners, while creating a challenging and nurturing environment to support success for all learners. As a result, I have become skilled in designing lessons that are engaging, stimulating, and responsive to student needs and interests, and therefore understand the importance of instructional differentiation. I have a strong passion for enabling students to reach their greatest potential through facilitating their growth as inquisitive problem solvers, and equipping them with skills for continued success. One of my greatest strengths is being an effective leader. Throughout my career I have mentored student and novice teachers and partnered with colleagues to grow and align instructional practices throughout the building. My positive attitude helps me to motivate colleagues and students, as well as build strong relationships. Another one of my primary strengths is my ability to design and deliver a curriculum that is reflective of student needs. I understand the importance of collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive instruction that improves student achievement. This includes assessing data and conducting small group work and tutoring with struggling students. Currently at Edmentum, I am working as an Instructional Data Coach which includes building relationships with teachers, supporting the needs of our educators, reading data, and providing training and resources for our clients. It is vital that our clients fully understand the potential of our products in order to better promote student success. In my personal time, I love spending time with my daughter and husband. I love to cook, hangout with family and friends, workout, and read. My ideal day would be on the beach surrounded by family, toes in the sand, and a book in my hand!
