I’ve been a labor and delivery nurse for more than five years and recently graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a master of science in nursing with a concentration in women’s health care, nurse-midwife/nurse practitioner emphasis. I am a licensed CNM in the state of California and certified by the AMCB. I'm a proven leader in my field, during my studies I have presented multiple poster presentations at multiple research venues. I have won the first-place award for my research poster presentation on “Disenfranchised Grief” at the Sigma Theta Tau Odyssey Conference. I have also presented research posters at UCLA’s National Nursing Ethics Conference and the Sigma Theta Tau Upsilon Research Conference, among others. I was a guest speaker and presenter for the “Theoretical Perspectives” nursing course, where I taught student’s strategies to help them create a successful concept analysis. Furthermore, I have been recognized by St. Jude Medical Center as providing outstanding patient care and received an Exemplary Patient Care reward with a photo montage displayed in the hospital lobby. Recently, I was asked to write an essay about my experiences working in a rural setting that was published in the Orange County Register (OCR), which is our local newspaper. I was also approached by the California Association of Nurse Practitioners to have my rural experiences also published and posted on their website. Currently, I am looking for CNM position. I am passionate about women's health and believe that patient advocacy and evidence-based care are central to consistently safeguarding and nurturing the health of each individual. These have been the cornerstones of my success in clinical practice where my leadership contributions, treatment accuracy, timeliness, and respectful care of each human being has been recognized by education leaders, medical and nursing professionals.
