Applications: electric vehicle and energy storage applications with various battery form factor and chemistries Responsibility includes:-Lead key projects under strict scheduling by creating, maintaining and communicating schedules, targets and plans. -Work collaboratively with fast-paced, cross-functional teams to solve complex issues, track deliverables and report out. -Document risk and develop mitigation plans during battery qualification from prototype to mass production.-Manage production launch activities including process validation, pre-production builds and shipment.

Applications: all different battery form factors (cylindrical, prismatic and pouch as well as new form factors) used in electric vehicles, electric aircrafts, energy storage systems, electric bikes/scooters, drones, power tools, cameras, tablets, notebook, IoTs applications. Responsibility includes:- Lead 40+ projects by using all form factors for various applications. - Analyze customer product requirement in electrical, mechanical, safety and quality aspects.- Communicate internally and externally in all battery related tasks to qualify cell technology from prototype to mass production, delivering leading battery technology to end customers. - Drive advanced battery technology to increase energy density and improve safety performance.- Conduct field failure investigation and report FACA to resolve problems and issues in production

Lithium Ion Battery Cathode Materials Research and Development1) Synthesis and Investigation of crystal structure/size effects on performance of NMC. Developed synthesis method to achieve unique NMC nanostructures via environment friendly technology and revealed nanoparticles growth mechanisms. Disclosed the structure-property relationship and uncovered the performance degradation mechanism.2) Bio-inspired growth of various morphology LiFePO4 (LFP) cathodes. Originated experiments to acquire multilayer graphene (<4) coated LFP and achieved 40% more tap density with 6 times less carbon coating on LFP composites.

Lithium Ion Battery development and proudction1) Development of products for large volume cells production.2) Lithium ion battery performance evaluation: charging/discharging, impedance, cycle life, extreme temperature effect, and safety.
