I am a retired U.S. Navy veteran with 20 years of service, now working as a Park Guide with the National Park Service. My career has focused on public service, leadership, and community engagement. In my current role as Park Guide, I have the privilege of bringing history to life at Civil War battlefields in Virginia. I focus on connecting visitors to the rich historical narratives that shaped these sites, while also promoting the preservation of our nation's natural and cultural resources. Through guided tours and educational programs, I aim to create meaningful experiences that deepen visitors' understanding and appreciation of the past. I previously worked in Parks and Recreation, gaining valuable experience in customer service, communication, and office management. I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Studies, with a passion for blending history, education, and outdoor recreation.
