Striving for efficiency and finding innovative solutions to complex problems in the non-profit landscape through Lean Management.

In this role I have completed improvement tasks for various departments across the system including Pharmacy, Occupational Health, Pediatrics, Nursing, Registration, and Business Development. Through this experience I have gained an intimate knowledge of the methodologies and principles of Lean Management, Coaching for Improvement, and data analytics. One of the projects I led while in this role was a 6S of the inpatient pharmacy which was able to improve efficiency by over 100%. This internship instilled in me the value of local/departmental continuous improvement and the impact such projects can have on the organization.

I worked closely with several departments to coordinate, complete, and analyze projects for the organization. Some of the projects I worked on were: a compensation analysis of over 600 employees, a benefits audit, several employee satisfaction surveys, a active shooter protocol roll out, and a donor diversity report. This job helped me to develop excellent data analytic skills, improve my memo and report drafting skills, and learn how to plan and conduct meetings.
