In my teaching career to date, I have experienced each year group within the primary sector and have had the opportunity to work in a range of schools; from inner city to villages. I have worked at public schools, state-maintained, Service Children's Education schools as well as church schools. Through supply and long term positions, I have built enough background and experience to train other teachers and utilise my experience to create a positive start to students just starting their teaching journey.I am now into my fourth year as a Reception teacher, taking inspiration from key educators to promote a skills-based approach to the Early Years. In my current role as KS1 and EYFS Leader (and previously KS2 Leader), I have successfully helped the school through two HMI inspection and understand the need of continuous whole school reviews and improvement as well as consistency and communication.I place high, but achievable, expectations on all pupils in my care. I believe that through good teaching and the fostering of good relationships, children are given the best that I can give. I am organised, communicate with my team and manage my time well, whilst not forgetting to have a good sense of humour.
