About Anna Black
As a sustainability expert with a BA in Sustainability and over 10 years of experience in the apparel industry, I have a passion for creating and promoting products that are ethical, eco-friendly, and innovative. I have successfully collaborated with co-founders, designers, manufacturers, and vendors to develop and source sustainable apparel products that meet the needs and expectations of diverse customers and stakeholders.In my most recent role at Cosmic Dirt Mountain Apparel, I helped shape, grow, and realize the vision of a sustainable, inclusive women’s outdoor apparel brand from the ground up. I supplied expert knowledge on all aspects of the sustainable apparel industry, implemented fit and grading standards, and deepened sustainability initiatives by using sustainable materials and trims. I also contributed to the redevelopment of community education programs that taught children about the importance of our agricultural systems for our ecosystem’s well-being. Previously, I co-founded and coordinated the Sustainability Task Force at Eddie Bauer, where I launched a pilot program that went beyond life cycle assessment and utilized waste goods for re-commerce, donation, and recycling.
