Sustainable Farm Education Intern, August 2021 – December 2021Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group/Farm at Water’s Edge, Belfair, WAAssisted the Farm Manager and AmeriCorps Sustainability Coordinators in day-to-day care of the farm and education programs while gaining deep knowledge on regenerative/organic agriculture practices, soil health cycles, biodiversity, and important community stakeholder issues. Key Contributions• Contributed to the continued redevelopment of community education programs geared toward teaching children of all ages about how our agricultural systems contribute to our ecosystem’s overall well-being through exploring soil and water health, biodiversity, and the nutrients available in our food • Assisted in the management of the farm’s Community-Supported Agriculture program by assessing available crops, tending to and harvesting veggies, packing boxes, and offering customer service to our subscribers
