Anna is an owner/operator of Prairie Farm Company, a conventional crop farm in central Minnesota. Anna is third generation at the farm and her family has been raising potatoes, kidney beans, corn, alfalfa and rye under irrigation since the 1920’s. Anna returns to the farm after 15 years working in politics and social justice issues in the twin cities. There, she took a leadership role at a local nonprofit, developing business relationships and marketing strategies to advance their mission. She brings both advocacy and marketing back to the farm and sees the biggest opportunity in farming now moving toward regenerative agriculture practices, water conservation and sustainability and building relationships between farms and consumers.
