I am a Partner in the Clinical Negligence department at Hugh James. I specialise in high value, complex claims. I am ranked as a partner in the 2024 edition of Chambers & Partners. I have been described as combining "a thorough and effective approach to cases with an approachable and friendly manner which puts clients at ease" and commended for attention to detail, encyclopaedic knowledge and good communication. I act in a variety of cases including those involving delays in diagnosing spinal injuries such as fractures or abscesses; misdiagnoses of cauda equina syndrome; delays in treating meningitis; misdiagnoses of strokes and failures properly to treat pressure sores in patients with pre-existing spinal cord injuries. I have a particular interest in surgical negligence. I act for children who have suffered birth and other injuries. I also represent bereaved families in fatal claims. I represent individuals, including adults who lack capacity to litigate and children.
