Under the guidance of Dr. Mohammad Tabaar, conduct research and provide analysis on U.S.-Iran relations, with a focus on the legal strategies employed by the U.S. in both entering and withdrawing from pivotal international agreements, such as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

The Speechwriting and Research Support Intern will assist the Emerging Technologies Division (ETD) of ITU in conducting in-depth research and supporting the development of key messaging around trending topics, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), space technologies, quantum computing, and more. The role will involve drafting speeches, talking points, video messages, and other communication products for the Secretary-General and providing support for various projects within the ETD team.Duties and Responsibilities:1. Research on Emerging Trends:Conduct thorough research on trending technological topics such as AI, space exploration, quantum computing, and others.Analyze global developments and trends to support the creation of informed messaging for the Secretary-General and ITU leadership.Monitor news, reports, and academic papers to keep the speechwriting team updated on new developments in relevant fields.2. Speechwriting and Messaging Support:Assist in drafting speeches, talking points, video messages, and other communication products for the SG and senior ITU officials.Collaborate with the speechwriting team to develop coherent, impactful, and targeted messaging on complex and innovative topics.Adapt technical information into clear, audience-appropriate language for diverse stakeholders, including governments, industry leaders, and the general public.3. Project-Based Assignments:Take on specific projects within the ETD, including writing position papers on key topics of interest, under the direction of the Head of ETD.Provide support for additional ETD initiatives, which may include contributing to reports, briefings, or other strategic documents.

◦ Drafting a wide range of non-immigrant visa and immigrant visa petitions including H-1Bs, L-1s, TNs, I-140s (Eb-1-3), Adjustment of Status applications, EADs, Re-Entry Permits, and more. ◦ Ensuring accuracy and completeness of case files and document management systems, facilitating timely retrieval of important information.◦ Coordinating with attorneys, other paralegals, and support staff to manage caseloads and prioritize tasks, ensuring excellent service to clients and contributing to the overall success of the firm.
