Two-month contract during one-year sabbatical in Australia. Duties included researching and writing press releases across council departments, media enquiries and writing for the residents’ magazine. I also carried out research for aninvestor pack to attract and encourage investment and development in the area as part of the council’s economic development focus and helped develop the council’s website and Facebook page.

Four-month contract during one-year sabbatical in Australia. Duties focused on promotional work around students, courses, awards and events including media relations, updating the website and writing copy for various brochures and publications. In addition I was often used as a proofreader by designers and other staff members.
