A dedicated leader who is passionate about providing patient-oriented care to underserved communities. I am ardent about my work in both a clinical setting as well as in the community one. As an AHEC scholar and in my position as the president of the Missoula MSNA chapter, I am able to provide hands-on care to be a part of the solution in subsiding social injustice in medicine. I am a life-long learner who takes pride in my work as a formidable patient advocate with a special interest and passion in the neonatal population. As a diligent student nurse I am able to provide exceptional patient care with an advanced education in pediatric life-support, neuroprotective care, and neonatal resuscitation. This enables me to utilize the most up-to-date evidence-based techniques and practices. As a determined and attentive provider with a compassionate disposition, willing attitude, and a strong work ethic, I strive to enhance the value and quality of patient care by working with integrity, honesty, and respect. My primary passion is authentically working to make the world a better place. My personal mission is to improve the lives of people, and I do this through travel, education, and incorporating love and empathy into every interaction with others. For me, this means: connecting genuinely with real people; changing the status quo regarding healthcare injustice; and creating safe places for others especially in times of vulnerability. I believe that treating people with dignity, care, and love can be life-altering medicine.
