I also created educational materials for influential committee members in the Texas Legislature to advocate for survivors’ rights, introduce my research findings, and propose policy solutions. • Being a Loewenstern Fellow changed my life! • Competitive, fully funded, service fellowship to work at shelter for women and children in the slums of Salvador, Brazil. Gained basic Portuguese language skills.

• Managed the Rep. Cohen's schedule, constituent communications, and conducted casework. Researched upcoming legislation and local and state issues, such as energy deregulation. • My biggest accomplishment: Full-time replacement for District Director during a leave of absence, acted as a representative of the Representative at community meetings, supervised of interns, planned the Representatives’ schedule including travel, and spoke as constituents on behalf of the Representative.
