In addition to working with research and student collaboration with our partners, MITC runs a number of EU and nationally funded projects with Industrial SMEs. Produktionslyftet (Production Leap) supports industrial companies in implementation of lean processes and continuous improvement. The programme has since 2007 worked with over 200 companies nationally and is considered one of the most comprehensive programmes for industrial development and growth.

Research coordinator at the department for Innovation, Design and Engineering and Manager of Mälardalen Industrial Technology Centre (MITC), an ERDF funded platform for industry collaboration where the region's global manufacturing companies work closely with Mälardalen University to increase the competitiveness of the region and to ensure excellence in research and competence development. Partners include Volvo Construction Equipment, GKN and Alfa Laval and others.

Developed and managed a sustainable platform for university-industry collaboration with over 60 SMEs in the Sörmland Region.

Profitnet is a learning network programme developed by the University of Brighton which involves around 700 SMEs in the UK, Ireland and South Africa.In addition to being involved in the day-to-day running of the programme, I manage several projects for the strategic and future development of Profitnet.In particular I have led three strategic projects for the programme: Development of the new website; The planned development of an online community for enhanced industry-university collaboration; the development of the Licensing Package for licensing the model to other organisations. In addition to writing the Project Managers' manual.My involvement in different projects while at University of Brighton has allowed me to develop important relationships with the business community, with local agencies and Universities, as well as to grow promising international relationships with universities and consortium partners. I have showed significant initiative by encouraging collaboration and networking both within CENTRIM and with our external partners, often through the use of new web 2.0 tools.

CENTRIM, Centre for Research in Innovation Management, is a world renowned research institute at University of Brighton, where I have managed various projects within industry-university engagement and innovation, all involving SMEs. I led the Innovation Wiki project, a wiki for knowledge sharing around innovation management, which was awarded £15,000 from the University Commercial Activation Fund. The Innovation Wiki [http://innovationwiki.brighton.ac.uk] has now grown to become a vital part to CENTRIM’s communication strategy. Over the past year I have, in addition, co-managed CENTRIM’s contribution to an EU Framework 7 project, SM-BIO-POWER, which aims to engage biomedical engineering SMEs in Framework funding.

Independently planned and implemented a wiki for gender training to be used by organizations across the globe at this UN Research and Training Institute. The tool replaced the training section on the organisation’s website and has since its implementation received significant praise in media online and offline. Managed and trained a second intern in continued maintenance of the tool. Presented the tool to the office and promoted the result in development media and websites. Trained all staff on continued use of the tool.

Introduced the first wiki tool into the UN-system, the WaterWiki [http://waterwiki.net/]. Creatively and independently planned, researched, designed and implemented the wiki for use by the Water Governance Community of Practice in Europe and CIS region. Interviewed practitioners to assess community needs. Gained competence in the use of wiki text and blogs. Presented the final result at the yearly community of practice meeting. Collaborated closely with the Knowledge Management Officer, Water Governance Facilitator and Professional Consultant throughout the project. Undertook Gender Mainstreaming Training.
