- Developed social media engagement strategies and campaign design across multiple platforms, including those encouraging patient registry and blood donation participation.- Working to understand gaps in patient needs and formulating creative solutions for the charity including exploring online meetings with the families.- Pushing for more creative visibility of CLCN4 families in our social media presence.

- Gained valuable insight into the running of patient-led organisations and the need for patient engagement in healthcare settings.- Understood the process of and need for creating welcome packs designed for families with a recent diagnosis, including distilling complex biological concepts into accessible language and providing empathetic, considered support.- Assisted in designing science-based, interactive fundraisers which encouraged public education.

Assisting in The Compassion Project; a current pilot research intervention aimed at supporting CAMHS workers in giving compassionate care. Supporting the production of session resources, developing my qualitative research skills and improving my understanding of NHS services.

- Assisted the passover of social media communications, understanding and executing a social media strategy for the charity across multiple platforms.- Furthered my understanding of the rare disease patient landscape, including through conversations with the charity’s founder and trustees.- Engaged and directly connected with patient families to gather and share updates to the wider RDH12 community.
