CurrentDeveloped ground system software for command and telemetry of orbital spacecraft .Took a leadership role in evaluating industry options for ground system software, advocating for a solution that met Tethers's requirements within the designated timeline and budget.Responsible for our Jenkins- and Artifactory-based CI build system. Expanded our unit testing including integrating embedded hardware into our CI testing and improved reliability of our software builds.Automated server tasks primarily using Python, Bash, and Groovy scripting.Maintained and expanded our on-site VM infrastructure, a VMWare/ESXi ecosystem, giving our software team more build and development servers as well as tools to improve development speed. Transitioned our development environment and build system to use Docker to improve reliability and significantly reduce environment-based build issues.Implemented Ansible configurations for server infrastructure, streamlining deployment processes and ensuring efficient server management as well as significantly reducing the time and effort required for creating and deploying new systems. Arranged and evaluated contracts with third-party security vendors. Led the deployment and maintenance onto on-premises systems including applying automatic patches to the Linux servers.Implemented Zabbix for monitoring critical systems, enabling real-time notifications for server outages and proactively addressing issues.Provided mentorship to interns and junior engineers, including providing a comprehensive start-to-finish internship project that developed their skills and added value to Tethers, resulting in the offer of a full-time role post-graduation.
