I developed our engagement practice, responsible for the quality and impact of our public engagement services. I also designed and directed some of our most high-profile programmes of public engagement, including national dialogues for central government, and large-scale, multi-year programmes of public and stakeholder engagement for utility companies.

I was elected by my colleagues to be Chair of Traverse’s employee-ownership trust. I held a non-executive position on the board, established and chaired the Nominations and Remunerations committee, and led CEO and NED recruitment processes.

Global (Based In Cambodia)

I designed a global strategy for Save the Children UK and Better Care Network to advocate against volunteering in orphanages. It began as a small research project, and as co-ordinator, I developed it into a global movement, creating and facilitating a multi-sector working group of over 50 organisations from across the world. The group achieved numerous policy goals, including commitments by government aid agencies to explicitly state that they will not fund orphanages and institutions.

Cambodia

I worked as a freelance consultant for three years, specialising in strategy development and communications for non-profits, and social research. Projects included:>CADBICO. I spent 5 months supporting the CABDICO team undergo a strategic overhaul of their communications and donor relations, including rebranding, website redesign, and systems for donor tracking and proposal and grant management.> Bigger Boat. I supported the analysis process and strategic design for a review of open government initiatives in the UK. > Angkor Hospital for Children. Support of the executive team in conducting and analysing a socio-economic survey of hospital patients. > IMP Media. Analysis of social-media strategies employed by UK charities.> Wood Egg. Research on the current eco-system and atmosphere for start-ups and small businesses in Cambodia.

Where There Be Dragons is a leading cross-cultural education and leadership development organisation. offer high-intensity immersive learning adventures, focusing on cross-cultural education and leadership. I designed and delivered month-long immersive courses in Cambodia.

PEPY is an education and youth empowerment NGO based in Siem Reap, Cambodia. In addition to my role as Communications Manager, for a year I was part of the Executive Management Committee running the organisation on a day-to-day basis.

Rollem Productions is Kay Mellor's production company - the award-winning writer responsible for Band of Gold, Fat Friends and more recently The Syndicate and In The Club. As Kay's script editor, I worked on over 20 hours of programming on the BBC prime time drama The Chase, ITV mini-serial Strictly Confidential, and a 2-part BBC film, A Passionate Woman.
