My educational background comes from California State University: East Bay, in which I acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Through life experiences and education, I have aspired to work with youth within my community. I’ve realized that our youth’s success is essential for the future of our society. As a current case manager assisting college students and young adults (ages 18-24), I assist in further developing and improving our youth program, facilitating career development workshops and participating in community outreach. Primarily working with college students and young adults by helping them improve basic skills, earn career technical training and assist and support them in employment or post-secondary education placement; igniting lifelong learning. In addition to my most recent work experience, my previous employment with the Newark Unified School District, and years of customer service has given me the experience and knowledge in how to appropriately interact with diverse socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds. Which has also influenced my own commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. I am a reliable employee who is a self-starter, bilingual (English and Spanish), passionate, resourceful, who has a growth mindset, is creative, organized, flexible, discreet and compassionate. I am also energetic, friendly, results-oriented with delivery of top tier services to organization, with a desire to learn and develop.
