After completing my internship I was offered a position to be a part-time customer experience analyst and work online while I was in school. As a customer experience analyst I fulfilled Bento Box requests. These requests come from women all over the country seeking a curated box of business clothes. I was responsible for filling those boxes based on their survey which included their height, sizes, job, preferred styles, etc.

My responsibilities included cleaning the sales floor, organizing merchandise, connecting with customers and reaching sales goals on commission. I go back to work on breaks from school.

This past summer I interned at MM.LaFleur on the visual merchandising team. I worked closely with my manager, Caroline, and teammate, Ali, to help open our new office in the Financial District as well as our third showroom in Chicago. Everyday at the office I would help Caroline and Ali find furniture suitable for our spaces that were tasteful but in the right price range. I attended meetings weekly with our interior designer and created detailed meeting recap notes. I worked on spec sheets and floor plans for our new office and the Chicago showroom to create a guide for movers installing light fixtures and furniture. My biggest projects were:-Creating a resource library of furniture that the VM team could view and search through for furnishing our new showrooms as well as pop-up showrooms; this included contacting artisans to create relationships for easier access in the near future and to gain information about the brands-Creating a plant resource library; our showrooms have many plants that are sometimes difficult to keep alive, making a resource library of plants and how to care for them helps each showroom and pop-up showroom stay consistent-Summarizing competitive research; throughout the summer the VM team would go on field trips to scope out competition, my job was to photograph cool new ideas and create a summary of the findings we collected and what we could implement in future showrooms-Completing hanger research and helping create custom hangers; at the beginning of the summer I researched custom hangers and communicated with my manager and our head designer to see what our ideal hanger looked like. After getting an idea of what vision they were going for I created mock-ups of the hangers. Then I met with a consultant at Henry Hanger in Mid Town and we began looking at styles. The new hangers are now being used in the Chicago Showroom. Photos are attached below.I also kept a blog all summer. The site is linked below.
