The position involves assisting in preclinical rodent studies designed to test potential therapeutics for various neurological conditions, primarily Parkinson's disease. Responsibilities include in vivo rat and mouse work (e.g., different routes of test item administration, stereotaxic surgery, behavioural measures, tissue collection, etc.) as well as ex vivo tissue processing and analysis (tissue sectioning, ELISA, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, stereology, etc.).
