Developed project and led team of four to bring best practices to significant collection of archival materials collected by the Broadway High School Alumni Association (active 1974-2014). Co-authored Inventory & Assessment Report that includes internal and external inventories, solutions for ongoing stewardship, condition report, and recommended next steps. Addressed significant preservation and access challenges and developed relationships with community stakeholders.

Developed descriptive and administrative metadata for KRAB-FM Lesbian-Feminist Radio Program recordings, 1971-1982. Engineer Shan Ottey donated over 250 reel to reel tapes to UW who received a grant to digitize and catalog the collection.

Prepared Preservation Packages for born-digital materials to migrate assets from aging media to UW digital preservation system.Utilized a variety of devices and software tools including Forensic USB Bridge, Bagger, DupGuru, TLPD and others following detailed workflow documents.

Launched the CoCA Archives Project to preserve, digitize, retain and share CoCA’s collection of historic materials. I was CoCA's first staff hire in over a decade and worked as the Outreach & Development Director from January 2013 to March 2016, successfully leading CoCA to greater financial and organizational stability. I also served as a CoCA Archives Project Director and worked with all team members, provided oversight, direction and continuity and was responsible for curating the digital archive images, writing content, leading outreach and fundraising efforts. Special thanks to 4Culture (Seattle) for supporting the CoCA Archives Project.

Through this contract position initially funded by a 2012-2013 Art Means Business award from The Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs and the Seattle Arts Commission, I focused on bringing the organization to greater financial stability which included patron development, grant writing, and earned income strategies (fundraising events, rental income, art & merchandise sales). Through outreach efforts, exploded social networking connections resulting in stronger community involvement in for all aspects of organization including membership, audience and artist participation. Assisted with Board development, including revamping Board application process and strategic planning. Greatly expanded volunteer and internship program to provide hands on experience and leverage funding. Launched CoCA Archive Project as a way to preserve and share organization's 35 year history. Successful efforts resulted in CoCA being financially able to hire the first Executive Director in 10 years. Left position to focus on archival work.

For this directed fieldwork experience, I digitized a collection of print brochures created for Seattle Art Museum's "Documents Northwest: The PONCHO Series," that ran from 1983-2004 and featured local artists (either born in the PNW or living here at the time) in 61 exhibitions. I interviewed curators Bruce Guenther and Vicky Halper to preserve their oral histories about the founding and growth of this influential exhibition series. I also completed an in-depth exploration of the Seattle Art Museum's extensive newspaper clippings files to create an annotated bibliography that features reviews, articles and press releases about "Documents Northwest." This internship was made possible with the support of ARLIS/NA Wolfgang M. Frietag Award.

I planned social and business events for 2 to 5,000 including: art exhibitions, festivals and happenings, roundtable luncheons, training workshops, awards ceremonies, live auctions, webinars, intimate dinners and many more.

Provided services for solo-entrepreneurs and small businesses including website and marketing development, hiring, archiving, program development, operations, special events and more. Businesses included: Amato Catering, Hay Consulting, Good Food Strategies, The Herbfarm Restaurant, Kore Leadership and Two Dog Yoga.

Provided high level assistance to sole proprietor in all aspects of business management including day-to-day tasks, special events, project management and client work.Hired and managed graphic designers, website developers, marketing consultants, caterers and interns. Organized SEG functions: luncheons, workshops, and many other events.Wrote client proposals and deliverables. Developed compelling business and strategic plans that included analyses, market research, and organizational, financial and stakeholder assessment.Responsible for SEG's marketing campaigns, including website, newsletter, and press release content. Helped to develop, test and launch SUSTAYNE, a cost-effective, accelerated methodology for social enterprise development (earned income strategies for non-profit organizations).

Worked closely with creative director, art directors, editors and reporters to produce the Special Reports section of the Journal. Designed pages, created table/charts, corrected copy. Designed and managed extensive databases to track illustrators and staff.
