The Network grew on the grounds of the Time Perspective and Well-Being seminar that I was running in Moscow, Russia in 2005. In 2006, our seminar group invited Prof. Philip G. Zimbardo to give a lecture at Moscow State University. After several personal discussions with Prof. Zimbardo we decided to initiate an international research network aiming at a cross-cultural project. Our first joint publication came out in 2007 and the same year the website of the Network was launched: http://www.timeperspective.net/The first face to face meeting of the Network was held during the XXIXth International Congress of Psychology in Berlin, Germany in 2008 and the International Time Perspective Research Project was launched. 22 countries were participating in the first stage of the Project. The first results of the Project were presented at various conferences and the first publication came out in 2014. In 2012 we organized the 1st International Conference on Time Perspective that was held in Coimbra, Portugal with participants coming from 42 countries. It was amazing time, creating together an organization and making events across the country in the time when internet was a scarce resource in Russia, connecting with people across this huge space. It was filled with energy, creativity, fun, professionalism, dreams and curiosity. It started out as a crazy idea and it realized itself in:- 1st RASP Forum, Moscow, 2002 - with 140 people from 25 Russian cities- Samara united event, Samara, 2002- workshop on time management, Moscow + Avanos, Turkey, 2002- Regional conference, Omsk, 2002- 1st RASP Assembly, Altay, 2002- participating in EFPSA research project on European Psychology Diploma, 2003 (21 country, 95 universities, 2983 participants)- language and cultural adaptation of ZTPI- 2nd RASP Forum, Yaroslavl, 2006- creating professional psychology portal PsyTalk.ru- research seminar on Time Perspective and Well-Being (10+ Russian cities participated in it)- Saturday Discussion Tea-Club (fast grew as a platform for psychologists, philosophers, physicists and mathematicians)- online conferences (through skype and festoon - looong before it became so easy with google hangouts) - we could host up to 5 cities- local RASP branches in Tver, Samara, Balabanovo, Obninsk, Yaroslavl, Arkhangelsk, ...- common library of e-resources- Contest of the best research projects - curated by Tver RASP - RASP summer school, 2007- 3rd RASP Forum, Smara, 2007- 4th RASP Forum, Arkhangelsk, 2008I most probably left something out, it was so many things! Participated in EFPSA congresses in 2001 and 2003. in 2006 participated in the European Diploma in Psychology survey, organized by EFPSA.Was invited to supervise one of the groups at the EFPSA Summer School in 2008. Was working hard to create a local, Russian, association so that we could become full members of EFPSA.
