I am a Level Two Powerline Technician Apprentice working for Hydro One and a part of the Canadian Union of Skilled Workers. I am based in Eastern Northern Ontario and enjoy travelling to different parts of the province for work.I have a passion for working outdoors, in all weather conditions and I enjoy working at all heights. I am pursuing a career in the Powerline field because I want to help customers in times of need by restoring their power. I enjoy problem solving and keeping equipment and structures in great working order to ensure our power is transported safely!I take safety very seriously and believe that great communication is the heart of staying safe. Tailboard talks, gear and equipment inspections as well as keeping up to date in safety regulations and procedures ensures I can provide a safe environment for the public, the crew and myself. I have experience working on transmission lines, assembling cross arms and insulators, and assisting journeyman with material and tools while working aloft. I have used various equipment including chainsaws, drills, hydraulic presses, utility vehicles, and hand tools. I possess a valid G class driver's license with a clean driver's abstract. I am passionate about the work I do and jump at any opportunity to learn more about the industry.Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors. I partake in hiking, fishing and back country camping any chance I can get. I also enjoy working on vehicles and learning new skills that can benefit me on the job.
