As Communications Manager, my responsibilities include leading and executing AAPC’s external communication strategy by developing the organization's brand and implementing comprehensive plans to promote the organization to members, industry stakeholders, and the public. My focus is on amplifying AAPC’s mission, advancing key advocacy and industry defense initiatives, and broadening its impact in the political consulting industry through strategic media relations and member engagement. Additionally, I oversee the project management of AAPC’s Top Ops and Campaign Excellence Awards, ensuring successful execution from nominations to recognition.

As Awards & Outreach Coordinator, I led the project management of AAPC’s awards programs by overseeing the end-to-end process--from coordinating nominations and organizing judging panels to managing communications with nominees, judges, and winners for the Pollies, Campaign Excellence, and 40 Under 40 Awards. I developed and executed detailed timelines to ensure all project deadlines were met, maintained award databases, and collaborated with cross-functional teams to deliver successful award ceremonies. Additionally, I managed trophy fulfillment, including inventory and marketing. My role also supported membership outreach, with a focus on member engagement and retention via the implementation of communication strategies, promotional content, and supporting the planning and execution of association events.

In my role as a Research Assistant, I explored the impact of shock events, specifically harmful algal blooms (HABs) of Karenia brevis, on fisheries in the state of Florida. My work utilized R for spatial data analysis to detect spillover effects in fishing effort across regions impacted by HABs.In support of Dr. Jessica Gephart's Seafood Globalization Lab, I helped research the effects of globalization on fisheries using government-aggregated data. Responsibilities included analyzing marine and freshwater species trade, landings, and production data, as well as fish consumption trends across different countries. Additional responsibilities included drafting country profiles, synthesizing trade data, and identifying trends to support OCEANA’s "Save the Oceans, Feed the World" initiative.

As Fitness Coach with Orangetheory, I led members through structured workout programs designed to improve endurance, strength, and power. I provided personalized guidance to help members set and achieve fitness goals while ensuring safe exercise form, and offered modifications and alternative exercises to accommodate individual needs and maximize performance.

As a Manatee Photo-ID Intern, I assisted CMA research staff in identifying and documenting individual manatees in central Florida springs, providing valuable insights into their movements, site fidelity, habitat preferences, behavior, survival, and reproduction. My main geographical focus was central Florida, Lake Okeechobee, and Silver Springs. Our team collected data using polarized and underwater cameras from boats and kayaks, ensuring minimal disturbance to manatees in their warm water habitats. My additional responsibilities included data entry, scar sketching for identification, photo processing, and field equipment maintenance.

As an Education Intern, I developed and implemented the CMA's Marine Science Academy curriculum for 4th-5th grade students, focusing on harmful algal blooms. I taught students from 1st-12th grade in subjects including biology, ichthyology, ecology, and zoology. An additional responsibility included leading hands-on kayaking and snorkeling excursions to Bird Island in Clearwater Bay, as well as around Honeymoon Island, and guiding students through observational studies and seagrass transect data collection.

As a Law Clerk intern, I supported the Trial Court Law Clerks of Florida's Fifth Judicial Circuit by proofreading trial documents and organizing office workflows. My responsibilities included conducting in-depth case law research using Westlaw and drafting preliminary orders for both criminal and civil cases, with a focus on 3.850 motions for post-conviction relief.

As a Federal Legislative intern, I attended weekly policy briefings and prepared detailed memoranda for staff. I had the opportunity to lead tours of the United States Capitol for visitors and supported all daily office operations by handling constituent services, answering phones, retrieving signatures from legislators, delivering bills to the House floor, and managing mail sorting.

As a Communications Intern, I gained experience developing and implementing strategic campaigns for a variety of public interest initiatives. My responsibilities included proofreading, editing, and social media management support for firm clients. I had the opportunity to publish social strategy content for The Heckman Equation, a project focused on quantifying the benefits of early childhood education investment.
