With over fifteen years in marketing and communications in addition to my work as a scholar, I am a connector, educator, creator, and storyteller with skills and experience in facilitating diversity, inclusion, and equity. My work considers identities including race, ethnicity, ability, gender, sex, sexuality, and generation as well as intersections. My experience includes producing events alongside web and video content with compelling narratives that raise awareness, promote products, offer services, and prompt action. I have successfully managed teams, created collateral, delivered media, and given talks that inform and inspire.My work requires that I stay current on both quantitative and qualitative methods and research in issues of diversity in order to facilitate practical solutions to real time challenges for large institutions and small communities. My expertise spans the fields of Ethnic Studies, Gender Studies, American Studies, African American History, Pan-African Performance, Black Feminisms and Womanist Studies, as well as performance history and theory. In a volunteer capacity, I have served as the president of Stanford Black Alumni Association of Southern California and alumni club engagement along with club revenue tripled during my leadership. Additional volunteer experience includes organizing overseas travel for groups, mentoring youth, and using social media to increase college readiness for pre-college students.
