As Director of Community Engagement, I created viable and sustainable community programs that increased access to quality education in the arts on the South Shore. I was charged with deeply engaging local communities in arts participation; designing partnerships with public schools and a range of civic collaborators; coordinating cross-pollination among the school’s numerous programs and administrative departments; and advocating for the school and the arts in a variety of public settings. I worked to inspire enthusiastic engagement and broader, deeper interest in the organization. I represented the school as it sought to increase engagement for its third campus. I advocated for the school’s mission and was a constant visible representative and face of the organization.

Ongoing community partnerships:• ImagineARTS Arts-integrated Literacy Residency serving 600 underserved kindergarten students every week in Brockton, MA. I supervise a team of arts specialists, school administrators, classroom teachers, visiting musicians, literacy coaches and curriculum specialists to develop and execute a cutting-edge arts-integrated literacy curriculum which includes weekly visits with an SSC Arts Specialist, professional development for teachers and family resources. • Adult Learning initiative: I coordinate the efforts of multiple departments at SSC as well as facilitate partnerships with local Councils on Aging, senior residences and assisted living facilities to offer a full range of accessible arts experiences to senior audiences. I oversee a suite of off-site programs including the SSC Storyteller Series and produce our Tuesday morning Coffee Break Concert Series.• Old Colony YMCA Partnership: I oversee programs serving over 2,000 vulnerable children in day-care, summer camp and school settings as well as the Y’s centers for families experiencing homelessness.
