I currently oversee a diverse portfolio that includes the communication, policy, public education, community investment, and stakeholder engagement for an arms-length public institution. These distinctive functions combine to form the organization's upstream, preventative work that addresses racism and discrimination, diversity and inclusion, and creating a human rights culture in Alberta. What I bring to the table...I am a strategic leader who works collaboratively to identify opportunities for efficiency, innovation and systems change. This includes: Establishing strategic direction through organizational, departmental, and program planning  Leading through organizational change by creating a shared vision and working together to achieve a common goal Bringing out the best in others by facilitating a collaborative environment that engages staff, enables high performance, and allows staff to fully contribute in order to achieve their goals Cultivating strong connections and bridging people and groups, both internally with team members and other departments, and externally with clients and stakeholders Developing and implementing effective strategies that advance the organization’s mandate through research, planning, development, implementation, and measurement phasesWorkplace culture is important to me.
