Systems leadership development in local government sector

Anne designed and ran highly participative events to help with knowledge sharing among leaders in particular sectors, including the criminal justice and offender management system, central government, health and local government leadership. Anne facilitates a learning and exploratory approach - i.e. more than simple making of connections and exchange of case studies.

Develop business, manage client work, delivery of assignments - focus on supporting strategic change, working with leaders and teams on aspects of performance, processes, behaviours and culture. For example developed a competency model to align with strategy for a science research council, using this to run 360 assessment and profiling exercise and design and run a tailored development programme to meet the needs - e.g. to lead complexity, engage and motivate people through change, and think strategically for the wide organisation (outside of silos and specialisms). As well as bringing professional skills to the technical aspects of this work, Anne also creates a partnership with her sponsors. This ensures transfer of learning and knowhow, on-going coaching and innovation assignments.

Developing client work, managing relationships, directing and delivering assignments, research ad thought leadership - focus on all parts of the public and social business sector - primarily in the UK. Expertise in working with the whole system of players - creating large events to simulate the effects of transformations in health, government, service models and community development. Also researched aspects of deep culture change for the transformation of regulatory and enforcement services, enabling compliance, self-regulation and associated new ways of leading and engaging in these areas. Anne also researched new models of leadership and development for leaders of the future public services (with a team of academics and consultants reporting to the No10 strategy unit). Anne also lead and sustained women-only leadership programmes for women leading in policing, health, local government and charity sectors.
