-Write civics curriculum and lesson plans that impacted 294 Kindergarteners through fourth graders.-Present engaging weekly civics lessons at an all-school assembly called Citizen-Scholars in Training.-Prepare materials and lesson plans for introductory “Get Out the Vote” lessons for each classroom.-Plan and manage execution of two school-wide “Get Out the Vote” campaigns.

-Led 26 first grade students to 84% Science Standards Mastery and over one years’ reading growth in the 2012-2013 school year.-Plan and prepare all materials for guided reading, reading comprehension, science, social studies, and grammar lessons for each week.-Leverage data analysis to inform and guide planning throughout the year, particularly in remediating standards that have yet to be mastered and in pushing student reading growth.-Monitor and track student character growth in the DREAM values throughout the year, leading to a 20% increase in qualitative character data in the 2012-2013 school year.-Work closely with a grade team to design curriculum and materials in all subjects and to monitor student growth.

-Selected from approximately 40,000 applicants nationwide to join national teacher corps of recent college graduates and professionals who commit two years to teach in under-resourced public schools. -Participate in intensive summer training program to develop the skills and knowledge needed to achieve significant gains in student achievement. Simultaneously teach in summer school program run by Teach For America for students in New York public and charter schools under the supervision of a faculty of experienced teachers. -Engage in professional development activities, including seminars, discussion groups, workshops, readings, and ‘learning teams’ specific to my teaching license area.
