Hi, my name is Anne and I excel in making things run smoothly - by ensuring that people, systems and processes align to get things done. I am fully engaged in my current role, supporting a very smart and meticulous entrepreneur in his general contracting and renovation business. As Pierre Sirois's 'assistant' I am free to wear many hats: devising basic (and transparent) Excel worksheets for all things financial in order to drill down to the bottom line, Simply Accounting to support project management, payroll, tech support, proposal costing/ordering materials - AND now I get to manage some of his employees too! My mini-team and I are collaborating on project management processes in order to add more structure to their 'Cowboys with Tool Belts' work day. As loyal and long-term employees (20 years!) they understand the need for communication to flow from office/client to the men that make a homeowner's life far-less stressful. We're also establishing our Occupational Health and Safety committee. My current challenge is developing their skill set so that they won't be swinging a hammer at 60. Not too long ago I was working full-time as a Claridge Homes Service Coordinator while also trying to support Sirois and Sons. At Claridge I was responsible for ensuring that our new homeowners resided in the fabulous space that was promised them.This role drew from my problem-solving and relationship-building skill set monitoring the trades' progress, sales closures and PDI deadlines - along with managing homeowners' expectations and concerns. This role utilized all the customer care I learned during my 15 years with Canada Post. Realizing all the opportunity with Sirois and Sons I gave notice to Claridge and told Pierre he was going to hire me full-time. We've been busy building Pierre's business - and developing his employees - ever since. As always I remain focused on the bigger picture: long-term solution versus quick-fix and fully engaged in my current role.
