In this role I worked on - analyzing oil in water emulsions to provide a basis on which to select separation technology- providing a lean fit for purpose analysis of contamination in hundreds of pipelines up for commissioning in Brunei- A polymer injection trial plant, dealing with a polymer change out and bacteria issues. Additionally I reviewed salt precipitation issues in heat exchangers and high BSW in export oil whilst on a 6 month Short Term Assignment to PDO- The Bacton Gas Plant as process chemist and lab supervisor. Did the leg work to obtain ISO17025 for the Bacton site laboratory. Together with operations and other disciplines got the Waste water treatment plant working to > 95% up time from being out for months before.

During my PhD I worked on various topics including (Auto-) catalysis, aggregation behavior of new synthesized phospholipids and chiral amplification. I was in charge of organizing and planning my own research projects and obtaining the anserw to our research question as efficiently as possible. During my PhD I worked with various techniques including; GC, HPLC, NMR, Mass, DSC, IR, UV-VIS, Fluoresence.

My Master consisted of several courses with a focus on organic synthesis and a 10 month research project that focused on using strained cyclooctynes for radio labeling of biomolecules. This research was published in the highly ranking journal of Angewandte Chemie. I obtained my masters in Organic Chemistry Cum Laude.
