Anne Trubek is the publisher of Belt Publishing, an award-winning independent press founded in 2012. Formerly a tenured professor at Oberlin College, she is the author of A Skeptic’s Guide To Writers’ Houses, The History and Uncertain Future of Handwriting, and So You Want To Publish A Book? . She has written on the cultural, historical and literary implications of new writing technologies for The New York Times, Wired, The Atlantic and numerous other publications. She is also co-editor of Rust Belt Chic: The Cleveland Anthology" She has appeared on NPR’s Weekend Edition, The Diane Rehm Show, Talk of the Nation, The Q and elsewhere.She teaches online classes through The Thinking Writer and is a freelance developmental editor and consultant.
