I have worked in the healthcare industry for 30 years, as an administrative assistant, EMR instructor, health care instructional designer, and also as a company culture ambassador. I have extensive experience with electronic medical records and all aspects of the revenue cycle, from registration to billing, coding, and payment. Listed below are some of my most notable accomplishments:`~Excellent professional soft skills.~ Experience across all ;segments of Revenue Cycle Management in healthcare, from data entry to coding, billing, and payments. ~As a digital faculty consultant for a textbook publishing company, I produced ancillary online learning materials for use with a textbook, using Camtasia.~As faculty at a career college, I created online course content for several courses. I also wrote all competencies for two courses to incorporate student needs and accrediting body needs with the content available within the textbooks for the course. I taught courses in many modes, synchronous, asynchronous, online, hybrid, residential, and remote. I also created course content using screencasting. ~As a student in a Masters Degree program, I created an instruction manual for use with a free online electronic medical record, which at the time was called Practice Fusion. This manual was used in courses at the career college. The manual covered revenue cycle activities and the accurate entry of that data into the electronic medical record system.~As a member of the Educational Committee of a national organization, I presented at two national conventions and wrote many articles for the organization's journal, Plexus. Additionally, I wrote several certification preparation quizzes for publication in the same journal, incorporating elements necessary in creating appropriate prep quiz questions.~As the coordinator of an annual Continuing Medical Education event at a medical institution, I successfully coordinated and accomplished all details necessary to running the event. This included everything from speaker arrangements to catering to publications to registrations.
