I'm now passing on my extensive TV skills and knowledge, gleaned from 35+ years of working in the Industry, to the next generation of potential Producers and Directors, who are currently studying at the University of Salford. I work with Level 5 and 6 students on the TV Studio Production modules, helping them understand both the technicalities of working in a TV studio and the associated challenges of developing editorially appropriate content.

I have particular expertise in producing content for children (0 – 16) and have most recently specialized in Factual and Factual Entertainment formats. I am used to leading teams of all sizes and am adept at overseeing a project from initial idea, through production, to final delivery. I enjoy all aspects of the EP’s role from the energy of a live studio gallery to finessing scripts and the close attention to detail required in the edit. I use Audience and Industry insights to inform all creative development and have helped many teams confidently navigate changes within the business. In my last role at BBC Studios, I was responsible for all Factual content produced across Salford and Glasgow production bases.
