As the former Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Step Up For Students, a $1 billion nonprofit organization that administers scholarships for low-income and special needs students, I developed the strategy for and implemented staff planning modeling, benefits and compensation programs, talent acquisition, inclusive and dynamic onboarding programs, employee training and development, and transformed HR business processes, bringing in a new HRIS platform. I also led key strategic initiatives associated with stakeholder communications, compliance, risk, and legal matters, ensuring alignment with emerging business needs and regulatory standards. We were named a "Best Place to Work" by Florida Trend magazine, and achieved Charity Navigator's 4-star rating 9 years in a row.
