Server Analyst II (2000-2004)System Administration of 78 AIX systems as part of a team covering 200+ AIX systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting of operating system and hardware (raging from 6C4 to p690). Responsible for planning and implementing upgrades of operating systems and application software to existing systems, including software that includes but is not limited to: AIX, OS/2, TSM, DB2, Oracle, DirectTalk, Websphere, MQSeries, iPlanet, Java, Apache, Business Objects, SAS, DB2 clients, DB2 Connect, DB2 Query Patroller, and Lotus Notes. Provide inventory and maintenance information of systems for budgets and annual maintenance.Analysis of customers’ technical requirements and recommendation of AIX infrastructure in contemplated projects. Point technician on project teams for new applications. Creation of AIX infrastructure plan, coordinate with other departments to acquire necessary resources for project and installation of hardware and software for infrastructure. Technical understanding of new applications being implemented on the AIX platform; usually acquired through manuals and experience. Establish operational procedures for new applications being supported on AIX platform. Achieve and maintain close customer relations to enhance department’s quality of service to the customer. Work closely with my customers to tune the infrastructure for their applications. Use my knowledge of DB2 and Oracle on AIX5L to assist Database administrators in installing, maintaining and upgrading their software.

Programmer Programming in AIX/Unix environment, using script languages, C and Basic. Specialized in database related software, including data transfer and manipulation between multiple machines and platforms. Analysis of customers’ systems and installation of data capture software, customizing programs as necessary. Create documentation of developed software for the complete cycle of the software. Reference for software support personnel and other programmers as needed. Software Support Specialist:Analyze software anomalies in customers’ systems and find solutions to resolve any inconsistencies found. Implement software. File and database management.
