• Public Policy – Rent Stabilization
• Provided strategic support and implementation for the development of an inclusive public outreach process for amendments to the City’s rent stabilization ordinance. Public outreach included the development of an.
• Developed a system to streamline the identification of relevant state and federal legislation for analysis and consideration of a support/oppose/amend position based on the City’s guiding legislative principles.
• Authored and presented memos to the City Council with an analysis of the impact of the legislation to the City for their consideration.
• Managed the City’s sponsorship of controversial legislation related to homelessness, AB 2176 (2016) successfully collaborating with the Department of Housing & Community Development, and achieving unanimous approvals.
• Created a comprehensive communications plan for both internal and external department communications, public outreach, and media relations.
