Founded in 1983, MATRIX is a national Information Technology Solutions provider, producing results for more than 2,300 clients in the last decade. Last year, more than 2,000 MATRIX consultants provided Professional IT Services and Professional IT Staffing, helping clients achieve outstanding technology and business success. I began working at MATRIX as an Account Coordinator, but moved to our company support team as a Consultant Care Specialist within a few months. In addition to many of my former tasks supporting our VMS Recruiting team, which works to fill positions with many of our National Accounts located in cities across the country, I work with new and existing consultants as a point of contact to disseminate information and provide assistance where needed, and I help support our internal company systems and processes, ensuring both our internal and external users are able to properly utilize these systems.

Review and edit reports and presentations for grammatical and formatting accuracy for the Institute for Clean Energy Technology; write and edit news stories for the Energy Institute newsletter; create and edit promotional material for the Energy Institute and the Sustainable Energy Research Center; attend renewable energy conferences and serve as an Energy Institute and SERC representative

Learned the editorial functions of a major publication; helped prepare an issue of the magazine from the planning to the printing stages; gained valuable writing and editing experience

Assisted with student advising, student recruiting, department fairs, and department fundraising events; interacted with students, parents, faculty, and staff and assisted with problems that arose; designed flyers, posters, invitations, programs, and forms for department events; performed clerical tasks such as operating multiple phone lines, filing, operating the fax machine and copier, and delivering documents across campus for staff and faculty
