Working with paramedic students in the capacity of a part time instructor. I create and expose students to medical and trauma scenarios, provide feedback on scene management, leadership, and skills necessary to operate as a paramedic in the state of Oregon.

-Working as a public servant in a 911 system to provide service as an ALS provider and firefighter for the community of Redmond, OR-Packaging and transportation of sick or injured patients to local hospitals as a paramedic-Participating in department related training and continuing education related to EMS/Fire-Serving the community to protect life, property, and the environment as a Firefighter in rural, wildland, and urban settings.-Appropriate maintenance of apparatus for operations,following SOPs and regulations

Working in a clinical setting to provide assessment and treatment of patients at Urgent Care.

- Pre-hospital care, packaging, and transportation of sick or injured patients to local hospitals- Checking and maintaining ambulance equipment and supplies - Assessing and recording patient vital signs in order to make appropriate decisions within the EMT-B scope of practice- Working within the chain of command and following all orders, rules, policies, standard operation procedures (SOPs), medical protocols, safety practices, and detailed directions

- Transporting patients inter-facility within both a BLS and ILS scope of practice- Facilitating hospital discharges as well as response with Eugene Springfield Fire on scene calls- Monitoring radio traffic and responding in a professional and timely manner- Lifting and transferring patients on scene and at hospital- Exhibiting safe driving practices and obeying traffic laws while operating an ambulance in code one situations

I worked on a contract basis with clients with both deaf and blind disabilities. I was able to work with various ASL translators to educate clients in their interaction with various technology such as the dictation function of the iMac. During sessions with clients, I worked to establish client confidence with applications such as iMessage or email to provide access to the outside world through means of modern communication. As well as working as an educator in that capacity, I provided detailed reports as documentation of training sessions in order to make appropriate decisions in regard to the continuation of education for each of the clients.

I taught between 10-12 hours of class per week in the Fall semester of 2012, and then added an additional three hours in the Spring semester. Classes varied between more basic Oral English for college Freshmen, to more advanced English Writing (both Business and Creative) to college Juniors. Additionally, taught lessons in more rudimentary oral English for the South China Centre for Overseas Studies (Known as SCCOS or as the Hua Nan program) during the week for students who had just graduated high school and were pursuing their education abroad for their university studies.Planned individual lessons on a week-to-week basis, planned for both mid-term and final examinations, lectured on various topics related to writing and English literature.
