The mission of the UCSF Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) is to promote, support, strengthen and grow the research, clinical, and education enterprise of UCSF, the top public recipient of NIH funding in the country. In my current role, I support the research operations of UCSF by:-Reviewing, negotiating, and signing grant agreements, contracts, and proposals as Authorized Organization Representative/Signing Official on behalf of the Regents of the University of California.-Collaborating with Principal Investigators to prepare proposal budgets and grant packages required by public and private research funders such as NIH, DOD, NSF, NASA, and foundations; and-Providing guidance to researchers within the School of Medicine to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

· Supported the acquisition and stewardship of approximately $40 million/year in grant and contract funding by assisting with budget development, navigating project partnerships with external parties, interpreting funder guidelines and policies, and reviewing final applications and proposal materials· Reviewed and negotiated incoming awards, subawards, and contracts· Provided education, training, and guidance to investigators and research personnel on internal policies and sponsor requirements

*Managed agency portfolio of ~$7 million in grant funding, including pre-award and post-award functions*Coordinated submission of government and foundation grant proposals, reports, and contracts*Served as lead writer for grant proposals and reports*Managed and implemented the agency strategic technology plan, with recommended systems solutions to ensure business continuity, compliance, and data security*Implemented, managed, and developed agency website redesign project

*Monitored and analyzed AT&T's Contract Revenue Compliance Team's operations in 22 states to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations and tariffs*Maintained knowledge of current regulatory developments, conducted legal research, and explained findings to non-attorney Team Leads, Contract Specialists, and Data Analysts*Developed and enhanced job aids to maximize compliance and increase revenue

*Managed all aspects of pre-award grant and contract processes, including grant-writing, contract drafting, and project management*Wrote successful grant applications and maintained local, state, and federal government grants totaling more than $6 million annually*Developed and implemented policies and procedures for the Grants and Contracts Department*Oversaw agency Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) application, compliance, and renewal processes*Developed agendas for and conducted the meetings of the Consumer Advisory Board
